Consulting at Adelaide Paediatrics
Paediatric occupational therapists can help children to participate in activities which occupy their days; such as sleeping, dressing, eating, toileting, socialising and playing, whilst feeling safe, secure and confident. A good time to have an Occupational Therapy review is prior to commencing kindergarten. At this stage, most children are sleeping well, feeding themselves, able to draw a basic shape, and toilet trained during the day.
Paediatric occupational therapists can also provide formal assessment and intervention for Sensory Processing Disorder / Difficulties.
The independent and staff Occupational Therapy team at Adelaide Paediatrics uses a holistic approach to work together with children and their families.
